dc.description.abstractObjective: To determine the relationship between sociocultural factors and abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding, Huyro-Cusco Health Center, 2021. Material and method: Basic type study, its design being non-experimental, descriptive, correlational. The sample population consisted of 86 mothers, who are cared for at the Huyro-Cusco Health Center, 2021; As a technique, the survey was used, with the instruments used for data collection two questionnaires, 35 items for the variable sociocultural factors and 10 items for the variable abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding. Results: It was observed that 15.12% present sociocultural factors at a bad level, 59.30% a regular level and 25.58% a good level. Likewise, it was found that 33.72% do not present exclusive breastfeeding abandonment and 66.28% present exclusive breastfeeding abandonment. Therefore, there is a relationship between sociocultural factors and abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding, Huyro-Cusco Health Center, 2021, according to Spearman's correlation of -0.759, this relationship is inverse and negative with a statistical significance of p = 0.000 being less than 0.01. Conclusions: There is a relationship between sociocultural factors and the abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding, Huyro-Cusco Health Center, 2021, according to Spearman's correlation of -0.759, this relationship is inverse and negative with a statistical significance of p = 0.000 being less than 0.01. confirming the research hypothesis.
