Abstract: The present research aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of prevention of pressure ulcers of relatives of the elderly, District of Pueblo Nuevo, Chincha 2020. Presenting a basic methodology, being its non-experimental design, descriptive correlational. The population was made up of 158 relatives of the adults living in the district of pueblo nuevo, chincha 2020 and the sample by 112 relatives; as a technique, the survey was used, the instruments used for data collection being a questionnaire and an observation guide. The results showed that 33.04% present a knowledge about the prevention of pressure ulcers at a low level, 46.43% at a medium level and 20.54% at a high level. Likewise, it was found that 52.68% present an inadequate pressure ulcer prevention practice and 47.32% an adequate preventive practice. Therefore, it was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the knowledge and practice of prevention of pressure ulcers of relatives of the elderly, Pueblo Nuevo District, Chincha 2020, according to spearman's correlation of 0.668 this relationship is direct and positive with a statistical significance of p = 0.000 being less than 0.01, that is, to a greater knowledge there will be a better preventive practice of pressure ulcers.
