Abstract: The objective of this study is to determine the degree of work stress in nurses in the Hospitalization area of the Regional Hospital of Ica - 2021. Methodology: Quantitative, non-experimental cross-sectional, descriptive. Sample was formed 30 nurses of the hospitalization service of the Regional Hospital of Ica. Data collection was performed with the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire, modified and validated by 5 expert judges with V Aiken greater than 0.60 and reliability in Cronbach's Alpha 0.807. Results: 80% of respondents have a medium degree of work stress, while 10% (3) have a high degree and 3(10) a low degree. In the emotional exhaustion dimension, 45%(14) of respondents have an average degree of work stress, followed by a low degree with 45%(14) and a high degree of 10%(2). In the personal fulfillment dimension, 75%(23) of respondents have a high degree of work stress, while 20%(6) medium grade and 5%(1) low degree. In the depersonalization dimension, 65%(20) of respondents have a low degree of work stress, while 25%(8) medium degree and 10%(2) low degree. Conclusions: 80% of emergency service nurses have an average degree of work stress. Keywords: Work stress, Nurses, Hospitalization.
